G0DAH Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 I have just got my Ghia 1.9 tdi and that makes me a total newbie for want of a better term, the two rear seats are missing. My question is do the seats from the Mk1 fit the Mk2? I have tried to seach to find the answer but I don't think it has ever been asked.....or has it? Quote
Guest 3.5bullet Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 simple answer yes, now do you want the complicated bit about the seat handing, the arm rest options, trim colours......... Quote
NikpV Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 they do fit although IIRC there was some modification of the seat squabs to allow slightly easier folding without damaging the fabric on the lever mechanisms, we've got a single mk1 seat in our mk2 - the seat mechanisms appear identical (at least functionally) Quote

I would offer you the seats from ours, as they are very rarely used, but it would leave us the same problem if we ever sold it or needed to use them I`m sure somewhere there is a European Galaxy seat mountain! anadin Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 i think people take them out, stick em in garage, if you dont ask for them, they then offer them on e-bay and you buy them back  :D Quote
Guest wolfie Posted December 9, 2006 Report Posted December 9, 2006 the Aspen model, we looked at a couple that were only five seaters as standard and had no rear heater unit! VW did a six seater version! Quote

NikpV Posted December 10, 2006 Report Posted December 10, 2006 seems some odd combinations there !!! Quote

It was also an option on later models too, usually combined with the leather facing. Quote
